About us

Private journeys across North Morocco, arranged from Tangier

Visit North Morocco arranges private transfers and day trips across the north of the country, from Tangier Ibn Battouta airport to Chefchaouen, Asilah, Tetouan and the Akchour waterfalls. We have been arranging journeys around this region since 2020, working through hotels, riads and word of mouth. This website went live in 2025 so travellers could reach us directly instead of paying a platform to pass on the message.

How we got here

Five years on these roads, one year online

The work started in 2020 the way most transport businesses start in Morocco, with a licensed driver, one car and a phone number passed between hotel receptions. Guests landing at Tangier airport needed a reliable way to reach Chefchaouen, and the receptionists needed someone they could send people to without worrying about it. That arrangement ran for five years before any of it existed on a website.

What changed in 2025 is only the way you find us. The drivers are the same people, the roads are the same, and the prices are still agreed in advance rather than negotiated at the kerb. The site exists so a traveller in Madrid or Manchester can see the real price of a Chefchaouen day trip before boarding, then arrive knowing who is meeting them and what it costs.

How we work

Four things we do not change

These are the rules the whole operation runs on, and they are also the questions travellers ask us most often before deciding to book. They are worth stating plainly here rather than burying them in terms and conditions nobody opens.

  • One price for the whole car

Large booking platforms quote a per-person fare, so a family of four pays four times over for the same vehicle on the same road. We quote the car instead. Four people travelling to Chefchaouen for the day split one fare of €135, which works out at roughly €34 each, and a couple pays the same total as a group of four.

  • The quote is the final number

The price we send you on WhatsApp covers fuel, tolls, parking and the driver's waiting time at the destination. There is no meter running, no fuel surcharge added at the end, and no night rate for an early departure. If the plan changes on the day and the price would change with it, you hear about it before the car moves rather than afterwards.

  • Nothing to pay up front

You do not send a deposit and you do not enter card details anywhere on this site. You confirm the date in a WhatsApp thread and you pay the driver in cash at the end of the journey, in euros or dirhams. Need to change your plans? Message the same thread and we'll coordinate with the local operator. We don't add a change or cancellation fee of our own.

  • Licensed operators, insured cars

We only work with licensed local tourist transport operators, and every vehicle is insured to carry paying passengers. That distinction matters in northern Morocco, where informal drivers are common around the airport and the port. The drivers work these roads daily and speak enough English, French and Spanish to be useful company on a two-hour drive.

Where we drive

Northern Morocco, and only northern Morocco

We do not arrange trips to Marrakech, Fes or the Sahara. Staying inside a region the drivers know street by street is the reason we can quote a fixed price honestly and still be waiting when a flight lands late. Everything below runs out of Tangier or Chefchaouen.

We reply with a fixed price. No deposit, and no card details are taken on this site. Your journey is provided by a licensed local tourist transport operator; payment is made directly to the driver. Both channels are answered between 7am and 11pm Morocco time.
