How we handle the details you send when you ask about a transfer or a day trip, and the choice you have about analytics.
Who we are
Visit North Morocco connects travellers with licensed local transport operators in northern Morocco. We take your enquiry, agree the details with an operator, and confirm the arrangements with you. The journey is carried out by that operator, and you pay the operator directly.
We are responsible for the information you send us through this website and by WhatsApp. The operator is responsible for the information it holds in order to carry out your journey.
Contact: contact@visitnorthmorocco.com, or WhatsApp +212 701 293 281.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry through the form:
- Your name and email address.
- The route or day trip, the travel date, and the number of passengers.
- Anything you add in the notes field. It is free text, so please leave out passport and payment details. We do not need them.
When you message us on WhatsApp we receive your WhatsApp profile name, your phone number and the content of your messages. WhatsApp is operated by Meta under its own privacy policy, which governs the app itself. Once your message reaches us, our handling of it is covered by this notice.
Separately, and whether or not you accept analytics, our hosting provider records standard server logs when a page is served. These include your IP address, the page requested and basic browser information. The anti-spam check on the enquiry form also receives technical signals about your browser and device in order to tell a person from a bot. Both are necessary to keep the site running, and neither is used to profile you.
Why we use it, and on what basis
Enquiries and WhatsApp messages: to answer you, quote a price and arrange the journey with an operator. This covers the steps you have asked us to take before a booking, and our legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us.
Server logs and the anti-spam check: our legitimate interest in keeping the site available, secure and free of automated abuse.
Analytics: your consent, and nothing else. You can withdraw it at any time.
Who receives it
The licensed operator carrying out your journey. To confirm a booking we pass on your name, the pickup point, the date and time, and a contact number, so the driver can find you and reach you if anything changes.
The providers that run parts of this service for us:
- Netlify, hosting and the code behind the enquiry form.
- Cloudflare, the anti-spam check on the form.
- Resend, delivery of the enquiry email to us and of your confirmation to you.
- Google, the calendar in which confirmed bookings are recorded, and Google Analytics if you have accepted it.
We do not sell your information, share it for advertising, or pass it to other agencies or booking platforms.
Analytics
With your consent, Google Analytics tells us which pages are viewed and which WhatsApp buttons are used. It also collects standard measurement information: the page address, the site that referred you, an approximate location derived from your IP address, and your browser, operating system, device type and language.
We record a WhatsApp button click as a contact click. It means someone opened WhatsApp. It is not an enquiry and not a confirmed booking, and we do not report it as one.
We do not send Analytics your name, phone number, email address, or the content of your form or WhatsApp messages.
Where it is processed
We operate from Tangier, Morocco, and read enquiries there. The providers listed above are established in the United States and the European Union and process data in those regions, so information you send us is processed outside Morocco and, for most travellers, outside your own country.
For those transfers we rely on the data protection terms each provider publishes for its own service. We have not put an additional transfer mechanism of our own in place, and we do not claim one here.
How long we keep it
We have not set a fixed number of months for enquiries. We keep them while they are needed to arrange and support your journey and to answer questions about a trip afterwards, and we remove them once that no longer applies. Confirmed bookings remain in our calendar as a record of work carried out.
You can ask us to delete your enquiry sooner. We will do so unless we need to keep it for legal or accounting reasons, and we will tell you if that is the case.
Google Analytics keeps the detailed, browser-level analytics data for 14 months and then deletes it. The aggregate reports we draw from it, which show totals rather than individual visits, are kept for longer.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to our use of it. You can withdraw your analytics consent at any time, and doing so is as straightforward as giving it.
If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you may also complain to your national data protection authority.

Changes
If we add anything that collects further information, we update this page before the change goes live and revise the date at the top. Where the change needs your permission, the banner asks again.
